Exactly 100 Words on Zac Posen's Spring 2010 Runway Show

Share |

After a Pre-Fall 2009 collection that too literally drew from forties fashion and a Fall 2009 collection that’s exaggerated and impractical proportions seemed more suited for the stage than the runway, Zac Posen presented a refreshingly modern and wearable Spring 2010 collection. The show opened with a series of close-cut, tonal, color blocked pieces in canary, lime, and mauve before developing into bright graphic looks. Silken and knitted gypsy inspired eveningwear followed in retro ethnic and animal prints, frequently reminiscent of Missoni and Pucci. The show concluded with several masterful, filmy, floor-length gowns adorned with delicate beading and unexpected cut-outs.
