Top 5 Things I’ve learned from Stylish Women:

Share |

• Be true to your own style first! Make the season’s trends work for you by only wearing garments that flatter your body and suit your personality. When you are uncomfortable in your clothes it shows.

• Get your clothes tailored! Adjusting your clothes to perfectly fit your is an easy way to look like a million bucks; plus, you never see an elegant woman in ill fitting garments.

• Strive for simple, uncluttered chic. “Je ne sais quoi” is achieved through uncomplicated style. Black and white will always be a classic combination and - to steal a line from Coco Chanel - a lady should look in the mirror and remove one piece of jewelry before leaving the house.

• Be original! Grab the garment being overlooked on the Sale Rack and ask yourself “how else could I wear this?” Don’t be afraid to take risks and belt the unexpected. I’m always envious of women who find striking ways to wear garments I had written off.

• When you feel great you look great, regardless of what you are wearing. Anyone can turn heads green with envy by pairing the right garments with a healthy dose of real or faux self confidence. . . In my experience, feigning self-confidence sets the stage for the real thing.
