About the author: 

Maggie Winterfeldt grew up in a Boston suburb and attended Vanderbilt University where she studied political science and art history. After graduation, Maggie moved to New York City for a position in fashion marketing and PR. 


Unfortunately, her move coincided with the Great Recession, and her "dream" job proved to be a Devil-Wears-Prada-esque nightmare. In the summer of 2009, she left her East Village apartment, following her heart down to Charleston, South Carolina—her darling puppy, Isabelle in tow.

Born a spirited fashion enthusiast, Maggie continues to approach her work and life with characteristic style. She combined her insatiable desire to learn, love of writing, and passion for fashion into her blog, Style Unzipped. She also moonlights as a performing arts, fashion, and society contributor to Charleston City Paper, Charleston Mercury and Charleston Outdoor Magazine. She hopes to report in both print and broadcast media, and is pursuing her Masters of Mass Communication with a focus in Broadcast Journalism at University of South Carolina.
